William John Pelland

Born in Lake Linden, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in Houghton County, Bill loved the area. On Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in Livonia, at the age of 77, Bill passed away. Bill will be dearly missed by his loving wife Lillian, and children Donald (Carolyn), Cindy Newcomer, Linda (Robert) Tomanovich, and step children James (Judy) Childress, Marjorie (Rick) Shoup and Mark Childress. Bill was also the grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 3. He was preceded in death by his sister Olive Little and brother Wally Pelland. Visitation will be Friday, January 23, from 2 until 4 pm and again from 6 until 9 pm. Bill was very proud of his service in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. A Military Honor Guard will present the flag after mass to the family. Funeral Mass will be at St. Aidan Catholic Church, 17500 Farmington Road, on Saturday, January 24, at 9:30 am.
