Virginia June Ruelle

Age 90, of Ypsilanti MI, was born on June 16, 1921. She passed away peacefully on February 8, 2012. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Howard. Dear mother of Michael (Linda) Ruelle, Patrick (Sandy) Ruelle, Toni Ruelle, Dorothy (Peter) Elliott, Eugene (Debra) Ruelle, Stuart (Susan) Ruelle, Christopher (deceased) and Suzanne (deceased). She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Bill (Debbie) Piecuch, Jim (Mary Jo) and Pattie (JR) Redfield. She is also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Piecuch and three sisters, Lori Bartlebaugh, Phyllis Hunt, and Mitzie Geshwender. After raising her seven children, she received her BS degree from Eastern Michigan University in Library Science. She was passionate about her embroidery, sewing, books, gardening, cooking. She appreciated the beauty the world had to offer-who sought to connect with the beauty through travel, reading, along with the glimmer of the trees. And she would catalog anyone's books though the Dewey Decimal system. Serving as Treasurer, Virginia was an active member for the League of Women Voters in Livonia. Visitation will be on Friday, February 10, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, February 10 at 10:00 at Holy Trinity Chapel, 511 W.
