Thomas John Coombs, age 68, of Redford, Michigan, passed away on September 26, 2018. Tom was born in Trenton, Michigan on July 20, 1950 to Donald and Marguerite Coombs. He enjoyed soccer, karate and training people to teach others to read. He was also passionate about offering “pastoral care” for missionaries so they could live healthy lives. Tom was ever grateful to have the Bible in his own language and devoted much of his life to ensuring others had the same opportunity to know God in their heart language. This amazing husband, father and brother is survived by his wife Judy; children Elizabeth (Paul), Luke (Jana), Matt (Andrea) and Trea; grandchildren Brynlee, Zakris, Reezlyn, Zekiah, Ezra and Zoe; brothers David, Paul, James and Peter; many nieces, nephews and other family and friends around the world. Tom is preceded in death by his parents. Ever selfless, Tom was always more concerned with the needs of others than his own, even to the day of his death.
