Roger Elmer John Taurianen

Roger John Elmer Taurianen, 82 passed away on March 22, 2024.

Roger was born in Detroit Michigan on July 26, 1941 to Eric William Hubert Taurianen and Esther Elizabeth Nulu. Roger married Judith Charline Powell on January 26, 1963; they were married 36 years.  

Roger retired from Ford Motor Company, Wixom Assembly Plant after 34 years of service. Roger’s dedication to the company who supported him and his family was displayed with the purchasing of new vehicles such as Mustangs, LTD, and many F150’s. Roger also served in the Michigan Army National Guard receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1968. 

He loved to travel and spending time with the family during the holidays, vacations, and each November during the family’s annual deer hunt in Northern Michigan. His love for listening to music inspired us all to listen to a broad range of genres.

Dear father of John (Karen Macsay), William (Sheila), and Kelly (Kevin Young). Grandpa of Brandon, Kathryne, Matthew, Joshua, Jacob and Patrick. Great Grandpa to Rylen and Judith.

Visitation for Roger will be held Wednesday, March 27th from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia, 48154. Burial to follow at Parkview Memorial Cemetery.
