Robert Earl Brickan

Robert Earl Brickan, 84, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away at home on April 25, 2017.   Robert was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 10, 1932.  He graduated from Cooley High School, and after serving three years in the army, received his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.  He was employed as a draftsman at Detroit Diesel in Redford, and retired in 1988.   Robert married Marilyn Marie Bohn on May 28, 1960.  They were together 56 years.   Robert is survived by his wife Marilyn, his sister, Shirley (Hollen) Groff; his children Laurie (Scott) Ervans, Brian Brickan, and Colleen (Mark) Endress; eight grandchildren – Trisha Ervans, Amy (Michael) Van Essen, Racheal Ervans, Derek Brickan, Stacey Brickan, Eric Endress, Katie Brickan, and Sean Endress; two great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ethel Brickan, his brother, William Brickan, and his grandson Steven Ervans.   A private family viewing is planned, and a memorial service for family and friends will be held at a future date.
