Phyllis B. Eccleston, of Farmington Hills, formerly of East Tawas, Michigan, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the age of 90. She was born in Hunt’s Island, Burgeo, Newfoundland on May 27, 1930 to Frederick and Fanny (nee. Harris) Ingram. She was the sister of Alma, George, Fred, Winston, Howard, Edward, Sidney and Marie.
She was married to John B. Eccleston on April 14, 1951, while John was stationed at Harmon Air Force Base in Stephenville, Newfoundland. They were married for 54 years.
Phyllis was an accomplished seamstress and loved baking and cooking. She was a military spouse and traveled throughout the United States and abroad with her husband in the U.S. Air Force.
Phyllis is survived by her four sons, John, Jr (Debbie), Robert (Donna), Rex (Cheryl) and Michael (Jodi); 10 grandchildren, Stephen, Elizabeth, Paul, Adam, Garrett, Cathryn, Laura, James, Sarah and Joshua; 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John in 2005, her parents and siblings.
A Memorial Gathering will be planned for a later date.
