Pepe Siy passed away at the age of 81 in Farmington Hills, Michigan, on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Pepe was born in the Philippines on June 30, 1942, and married his beloved wife Preeya on July 18, 1971. Together they shared 52 remarkable years of love and partnership.
In his life, he went on to achieve great things. He earned a master's degree from UC Berkeley, a Ph.D. from the University of Akron in Ohio, and eventually became a revered Professor at Wayne State University. He dedicated himself to guiding others in the field of electrical engineering . His contributions to research in nanotechnology for retina replacements have left an indelible mark. Notably, his passion for electronic projects led him to create his first robot in 1980, envisioned to serve in the restaurant industry.
Pepe is survived by his loving wife, Preeya, his son, Teddy (Rachael), his daughter, Eunice (Joe), his grandchildren, Job, Autumn, WyLan, Jade, Nicholas, Annabelle, and Mei Lin, his siblings, Andres Ho (何崇橋), Nene Siy (何秀玉), and Peping See (何金標), his Brother-in-laws, Pricha, Pramoat, and Sophon, his Sister-in-laws, Suvanna, Sunerat, Yuengling, and Ratana and other family and friends.
The Visitation will be held on Friday June 21, 2024, 3:00-7:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt Rd, Livonia, MI 48154.
