Patrick Daniel Mcevoy

Patrick Daniel McEvoy, 78, passed away of cancer at home in Taylor with his family in attendance on Monday, August 10.
He was retired from being a Downriver business owner. He operated McEvoy’s Formal Shop in Allen Park. It served the community’s weddings, proms, and other events for over 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, and five children – Suzan Coppola, Leeanne (Gary) Boone, Kim McEvoy, Kevin (Renee) McEvoy, Keith (Dawn) McEvoy, five grandchildren Charles and Christopher Prater, Rogan, Connor, and Riley McEvoy, and 5 great grandchildren Charles, Dominic, Mason, Jacob, Hunter Prater.
Visitation for Patrick will be on Wednesday, August 12, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m.
Final visitation will be on Thursday, August 13 at St. Genevieve/St. Maurice Catholic Church (29015 Jamison, Livonia) at 10:15 a.m. A Funeral Mass immediately following at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Patrick can be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit (website: www.cskdetroit.org). Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
