Nile James Castleberry, 55, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away on October 27th, 2018. Nile was born in Detroit on June 11th, 1963 to Betty Jean and Nile Edward Castleberry. He graduated from Bentley High School and continued on to receive an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Schoolcraft College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from Lawrence Technical University. He was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Society. Nile was a long-time employee of Yazaki and worked most notably on the wiring in the Cadillac CTS. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, music including playing the guitar and singing, and was part of many bands throughout his lifetime. He is survived by his Daughter Chelsea Katherine, his son Curtis James (and Chelsey Marie), grandchildren Scarlett Marie and Jameson Christopher, his mother Betty Jean, sisters Kathy Lynn and Karen Lee, brother Grant Philip, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and the mother of his children Kathleen Legowsky. Nile is preceded in death by his father Nile Edward. Close friends and family are invited to the memorial visitation which will be held on Wednesday, November 7th, at 10:00am until the time of the memorial service at 11:00am at the Redford Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 10000 Beech Daly, Redford 48239.
