Mia Isabel Scherer

Baby Mia passed away on December 20, 2012, at home with her family and special pet, Sophie. Born on April 26, 2012, she is the precious daughter of Nick and Michelle. Mia brought joy to her loving grandparents: Laura Scherer, and Robert & Susan Houghland, and her great-grandparents, Madeline & Bill Houghland. Mia will also be dearly missed by her Aunt Sheri and Uncle Darin. Visitation for Mia will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 23rd, from 2 until 5 PM & 6 until 8 PM. A Scripture Service will be held Sunday evening at 7 PM. Funeral Services are planned for Monday, December 24th, with an In-State visiting period starting at 8:30 AM until the time of Mass 9:00 AM -- at the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church located at 27101 W. Chicago St. (just East of Inkster Rd.) in Redford. Fr. Richard, who celebrated the sacrament of Baptism with Mia, at her home, will preside. Immediately after the Mass, a procession to Glen Eden Memorial Park will occur, for the Committal Service.
