Mary Elizabeth "Krall" Markes

Mary Markes (age  87) of Livonia, MI passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017.   Mary was born in Detroit, MI on February 4, 1930 and married Nicholas Markes on May 7, 1949. They were happily married for 56 years. She and Nick were very active in Model A Ford restoration and belonged to a number of car clubs including Eastside A's, Oakleaf, Motor Cities and The Model A Restorers Club for several years. She continued to drive one of her Model A's to many local Model A events.   Mary and Nick started the fashion committee and wore several Era outfits at many national events. She was also a judge on the committee (and won and placed in competition).   She belonged to St. Michaels Golf league for several years and loved to play golf whenever she could.   Mary was survived by Son Ted (Pat) and Daughter Karen (Gerry) Deren along with 5 wonderful grandchildren and 12 Great grandkids.   Visitation will be held Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 1:00 to 6:00pm and Monday, September 4, 2017 from Noon to 8:00pm at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt Rd,  Livonia 48154.   Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church 30650 Six Mile Rd,  Livonia, MI  48152.  Pastor Scott will be officiating.    Family suggests memorial donations in memory of Mary be made to American Heart and Stroke Association Memorials and Tributes Lockbox 3816 Payshere Circle Chicago, Il 60674   Hydrocephalus Association
