Mark Christopher Serafa, 61, of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, passed away suddenly on November 5, 2022.
Mark was born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 27, 1961, to Charles Joseph Serafa and Phyllis (Vizzini) Serafa. He graduated from Livonia Bentley High School in 1979 and became a Journeyman Electrician in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW Local 58).
In his spare time, Mark enjoyed fishing, horse racing, music, hockey, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved finding bargains and treasures at garage sales
Mark is survived by his brother Steve Serafa (the late Julie), and his sisters Emily (Peter Manschot), Cheryl (Brady Walker), and Sharon (Robert Toth). Although he did not have children of his own, he loved his nieces and nephews: Rachel (Jesse Mileo), Eric Manschot, Charley Toth, Rebekah (Jeff Ferguson), Jeremy Walker, Brian Masterson (Joelle), Stacey (John Simmermon), Anthony Serafa, and Nicholas Serafa. He also is survived by two great-nieces, Rosalie Mileo and Meadow Masterson, his great-nephew, Bradyn Mileo, and his long-time girlfriend, Rita Bonnano.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Catino and Emilia Vizzini, his parents, his brother Charles Michael Serafa, his sister-in-law, and his nephews Joey Toth and Flint Smith.
Mark was very generous with love and gifts, especially during the holiday seasons. He was also the first to arrive and the last to leave every party.
Visitation will take place on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt Road, Livonia, Michigan, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life and Sharing Service beginning at 7:00 PM.
Mark touched all our lives. He was our baby brother, and he will be sadly missed by all of us.
