Marilyn “Merlerin” “Redsonia” Eileen Lemmen, 71, of Caseville, Michigan, passed away on January 3rd, 2020, due to respiratory failure from influenza B and pneumonia. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Michael Lemmen (of 52 years), her children Misha (Todd) Nagelvoort, Mike (Donna) Lemmen, and Missy (Dave) Somershoe, grandchildren Samuel Kai Lemmen and Diego Somershoe, and many, many friends. Marilyn made friends through her work as IT support/Microsoft certified trainer, through camping with the National Campers and Hikers Association, killing beasts in Final Fantasy XI, finding Tupperware in the woods while geocaching, mining for diamonds in Hay Day, windsurfing, putting together puzzles, and being terrible while playing Cards Against Humanity. Her favorite saying, from her best friend Barb Petit, was “it’s a shitfight on the corner, let’s go” when asked if she wanted to do something. Those who knew her were luckier than the rest. Marilyn’s memorial gathering will be held on Friday, January 10th, 2020 from 3-8pm at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Vasculitis Foundation or The Alzheimer’s Association.
