Beloved wife and mother, dedicated grandmother, sister, and dear friend, the impact left on the world around her by Linda Blair Richardson, 71, of Livonia, MI, cannot be overstated and will be felt for years to come.
She left us in body on the morning of Friday, March 22, 2024, but her life continues through the thoughts and actions of her two daughters, Nicole and Pamela, whose own lives were shaped and influenced by Linda’s love, best exemplified in over forty-two years she spent married to Christopher Richardson, the husband she leaves behind.
Linda was born on February 12, 1953, in Detroit, to Ernie and Margaret Blair. She attended high school at Southfield Lathrup and furthered her education, most notably, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Madonna University, showing her dedication to the service of others.
She spent 26 years serving her community as a nurse. Then, in service to her daughters, she went to work for the Livonia Public School system, which allowed her the opportunity to be closer to the two people who mattered most to her in the world.
She remained an active participant in her community, taking part in the Democratic Club and serving on the board of the Western Wayne Genealogy Society.
Along with her husband and daughters, Linda has elected as safeguards of her legacy, her sisters, Janet and Pam, sons-in-law, Josh and Sam, and granddaughters, Olive and Cora.
Linda was ushered from this life a bit early by her brother, Tom, nephew, Justin, and her two parents. Even still, she’s left behind a life overflowing with adventure and achievement, including trips around the world with her husband, who she met while taking cover inside a Paris café during a rainstorm, visits to nearly every national park with her family, her daughters’ weddings, the births of two grandchildren, and a lifetime’s worth of memories on display in any one of over a dozen photo albums she’s compiled over the years.
The void left in her wake, the hearts broken by her passing, will serve as a testament to a life fulfilled and one worth living.
A celebration gathering for Linda will be held on Friday, April 5th from 2:00 - 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 6th from 10:00 until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 AM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia, 48154.
