Kathleen "Kathy" Elizabeth Moore, age 72, died on May 15, 2024 after a long illness.
Kathy was raised in Highland Park and graduated from Cass Technical High School, Western Michigan University and Wayne State University Law School. She retired after 25 years of service with the Office of the Chief Counsel of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Detroit District).
Kathy resided for many years in Berkley, Michigan, where she was a member of the Greenfield Presbyterian Church. She loved her dogs, most recently Emma, as well as reading, current events and travel. She took many cruises and went to Zimbabwe to visit an exchange student from her high school days.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill. She is survived by her brother, Jim (Carolyn) and their children, Derek and Ian, a grandniece and three grandnephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Memorials in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association or Michigan Humane Society are appreciated.
