Jennie "Mitchell" Semeniuk

Jennie Semeniuk, 93, of Livonia, passed away June 9, 2020. She was born in Manitoba, Canada on November 24, 1926 to Peter and Mary Mitchell.   Jennie married Nicholas Semeniuk on June 18, 1949; they were married 64 years.   She worked as a seamstress at General Motors Fisher Body. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, dogs, sewing, cooking, arts and crafts, and dancing. She was a member of UAW Union and Eagles Club.   Jennie is survived by her sons, Darryl (Jill) and Jerry (Ann); grandchildren, Matthew Semeniuk and Lauren Kallas/Semeniuk; nieces and nephews, Marilyn and Lawrence Ritchie, Sharon and Ronald Pronk, Karen Knapp, Lorna, Dennis, Ronald and Tim Mitchell, Charmane and Terry Mitchell. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas; parents, Peter and Mary; sisters, Ann, Nettie, and Irene; brothers, Thomas and William Mitchell.   Visitation for Jennie will be held Friday, June 12, 2020 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154. Interment at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia, 48154.
