James F. Callow (Jim), formerly of Livonia, MI, died at home March 18, 2017 at the age of 87. He was a wonderful man loved by family and friends. Born in Detroit, MI, June 19, 1929, Jim was the youngest son of William and Maude (VanDusen) Callow and brother to William (deceased). He graduated from Redford High School in Detroit in 1947. He received bachelor and masters degrees in education from Wayne State University. Employed by Detroit Public Schools as an industrial arts teacher, he became a counselor and administrator, retiring in 1989. Jim’s passions were golf, tennis, music and theater. He is survived by Laura, his wife of 65 years, and children James (Mary) Callow, Jr.; Bruce Callow, and Rebecca Callow. He also leaves six grandchildren.
