JACK was 86 years of age at the time of his death. He was joyfully married to Bernice for over 62 years. Jack is the dear father of Bradley (Muriel), Randy (Dorean), Karen (Tom) Marcus. He was proud to fulfill the role of Grandfather to: Tara, Rebecca, Tim, Adam, Robyn, Thomas, Tyler, Taylor, Travis, and Randy, who each adored and admired him. Jack is survived by one brother, Joseph Jerkins. Jack served honorably in the United States Navy during World War II, and was awarded the Victory Medal, a 2-Star Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal, a 1-Star Philippine Liberation Ribbon, and an American Area Campaign Medal. He became an accountant and had a career with the Chrysler Company. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, on Wednesday, April 11th from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Jack will be In State for final visitation on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. until the time of Services at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church located at 27475 Five Mile Road in Livonia. Rev. Dr. Robert Seymour will officiate. The funeral will conclude with a U.S. Navy Military Honors ceremony. Burial will take place later, privately, at Glen Eden Memorial Park. Jack spent many enjoyable years volunteering as an activities assistant with the Boy Scouts of America.
