Helen Dubel passed away May 22, 2016 at the age of 86. She is the beloved wife of the late Casmir Michael Dubel; dear mother of Susan (Michael) Droze and Brian (Patricia) Dubel; grandmother of Patrick, Ryan, Timothy, Andrew and David; great grandmother of Bennett, John and Claire; Sister of the late John and George Kvasnak. Helen was born in Detroit on June 23rd, 1929 to John and Susan Kvasnak. She grew up in Dearborn and graduated from Fordson High School in 1947. Helen then began her career at Packard Motor, working as a personal secretary for John Delorean. She later worked for Ohio Casualty Insurance, where she was employed for almost 40 years. Helen loved working and was very committed to her job. Helen and her husband, Casmir, were married in 1952 and celebrated 60.5 years together. Family was of utmost importance to Helen and a source of great pride. She and Casmir were parents to two children; Susan and Brian, and grandparents to five grandsons, who she always thought were the most handsome boys she ever laid eyes on. She also was the proud great grandmother of two more boys and finally a great granddaughter. Helen and Casmir were devoted to Sacred Heart, where they were one of the founding members of the original church located on Beech Daly. Helen's spunk, determination, and commitment to family along with her generosity, will always be remembered. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM with a Parastas Service at 7:00 PM at MANNS-FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154. Helen will be In-State Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Church, 29125 Six Mile, Livonia 48152.
