Harry Richard Price was born to Hugh and Jean Franklin Price, January 29, 1948 and passed away March 10, 2021, after battling with cancer. Harry was the epitome of a servant leader, something engrained in him by his parents at a young age. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War as a part of the Army Core of Engineers in Germany. Returning home, he went back to work at NTH Consultants where he was employed for over 50 years. He continued to keep the company at the fore front of technology with innovative ideas and mentoring his colleagues at any opportunity.
His true passion lay with Boy Scouts both as a youth and an adult. He met his wife Mary through Scouting and the two continued the work long after their sons and daughter had aged out of the program. Harry earned his Eagle Scout at the age of 14. He was a Distinguished Eagle Scout. Vigil Honor of the Order of the Arrow, and Silver Beaver recipient. He was the course director for Woodbadge, Powderhorn, and National Youth Leadership Training, and most recently as the Michigan Crossroads Council Chairman for Outdoor Ethics.
Harry was a loving husband, father, grandfather who still made time for family and friends, whether it was a family vacation or a game of cards. His presence will be missed by many. Harry is preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Jean Price. He is survived by his wife Mary Price and his children Ian (Stephanie) Price, Bryan (Kelly) Price, Randy (Walton) Hall, Kathy (Jeff) Popp, Mike Hall and grandchildren Katelyn, Alexandra, Audrey, Tom, Norah, Wesley, William, Wiley, Vera as well as his siblings Sue (Clem) Marsella, Hugh – Rocky Price and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations can be made in honor of Harry to Michigan Crossroads Council Boy Scouts of America.
