Harold Lloyd Davis of Marshall, North Carolina, was 86 years of age when he was called home to be with his lord Jesus Christ on October 31st, 2011. He was born March 16th, 1925 in Anderson, South Carolina to Jesse Leo Davis and Birte Chastain Davis. Harold married his beloved wife Donna Christina on October 30th, 1960. They were married 51 years and became the proud parents of 7 children: Karen Solden Kroppa of Commerce Twp Michigan, Jesse Leo O'Conner of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Dorothy Elizabeth Pauls of Taylor, Michigan, Debby Lynn Davis of Ecorse, Michigan, Rosemarie Mosolgo of Riverview, Michigan, Harold Llyod Davis Jr. and Lisa Leann Johns both from Allen Park, Michigan. 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grand daughter also survive him. In addition to his parents Jesse and Birte Davis, Harold was preceded in death by brothers Albert L. Davis of Houston, Texas, Adger J. Davis and Tommy Geddings of Anderson, South Carolina, and sisters Dorothy Davis Payne of Marshall, North Carolina, Georgia Lee Davis and Billie Duncan from Anderson, South Carolina. Harold is survived by his sisters Sylvene Shelton of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jessica D. Tiller, Patricia D. Frazier and Marie Taylor of Anderson, South Carolina, Della Gurley of Lexington South Carolina and brothers Jesse L. Davis, Jimmy L. Davis of Anderson, South Carolina, Bobby Geddings of Maryland, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial and Committal Service will take place on Wednesday afternoon, November 9th at 1:00 p.m., at the Mount Hope Memorial Gardens cemetery located at 17840 Middlebelt Road (between 6 & 7 Mile Roads) in Livonia, MI. Pastor Bobby Blevins will be officiating. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or to a Hospice.
