Grace Jessie Burton

Born November 7, 1906 in Detroit; passed on Sunday June 22, 2008 at the age of 101. Resided in Livonia, formerly in Allen Park and Detroit. Preceded in death by husband of 58 years, Lloyd F. Burton; sisters Florence (Ed) Dover, Helen (Chris) Gasser, and Alice (Frank) MacGoff; brother-in-law Harry Burton; and great-granddaughter Katherine Grace Carr. Grace was a member of Westminster Church of Detroit for over 50 years. She is survived by son, Robert Burton and wife Diane of St. Johns, MI; granddaughter Elizabeth (Dr. Matthew) Carr and great-granddaughter Rachel Carr of Indianapolis, IN; grandson Douglas Burton of Cleveland, OH; sister Cora Paynter; niece Holly Vernon and sister-in-law Verona Burton; nephew Harry (Louise) Burton and grandniece Heidi (William) Bollinger. Donations in lieu of flowers to Vitas Hospice of Southfield, American Kidney Foundation, or Alzheimer Association. Memorial Service to be held at Westminster Church of Detroit, 17567 Hubbell Ave., Detroit, MI. on Sunday, June 29th, at 12:15 pm.
