Gary Allen Campagiorni

November 2, 1956 — March 2, 2019

Gary Allen Campagiorni, 62, of Waterford, Michigan passed away on March 2, 2019.   He was born in Detroit on November 2, 1956 to the late Rosa (Guiriato) and the late Orlando Campagiorni, Sr. He was baptized into the Catholic faith and attended St. Lawrence Elementary. He graduated from Chadsey High School and acquired his welding certificate as well.   Gary is survived by his three children: Jessica Campagiorni, Gary (Karen) Campagiorni, Jr and Eric (Liz) Castillo and their mothers, Donna Bell and Brenda Slusarczyk; four grandchildren: Jacob Howard, Justin Howard, Sophia Campagiorni and Cameron Campagiorni. He is also survived by his brothers Orlando (SaraBeth) Campagiorni and Nicky Campagiorni; his sister Grace (Dennis) Plaza; six nephews and nieces: Christopher (Jess) Plaza, Nicole (Ian) Sigmon, Micah Campagiorni, Matthew Campagiorni, Marco Campagiorni and Kera (Alex) Hoover; great niece and nephew: Mariah Hoover and Sean Hoover.   Gary held various jobs of welding, but mostly enjoyed working on cars for a local muffler shop near where he lived in Detroit, as well as repairing motorcycles in his spare time. He loved motorcycles and for several years was a member of The Highwaymen motorcycle club. He enjoyed the camaraderie of his fellow Highwaymen and remained friends with several after he left the club. Gary enjoyed life and loved to tell stories of his escapades to his kids and nieces and nephews.   In August of 1996, Gary suffered a brain hemorrhage that left him needing assistance. He was cared for for many years by Brenda and for the last few years by Eric and Liz, and also his brother, Orlando (OC) and his wife SaraBeth, with help from Mindset Management in Ortonville, Faith House In Motion in Pontiac and The Regency at Waterford. He was loved by all his caregivers and will be sorely missed.   Visitation for Gary will be held Sunday, March 10th from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154.
