ELLEN was 87 years of age at the time of her death, at home, with family.
Born in the Upper Peninsula: Baraga, Michigan, she attended L'Anse High School. Ellen came to the Detroit metro area, settling in Livonia, after marrying her beloved husband, Robert, who preceded her in death, over 30 years ago. Ellen continued to raise her family, enjoy friendships and the wonderful companionship of pets. She never missed marking a special occasion with a gift, and simply loved celebrating the milestones of her cherished family.
Ellen is the mother of Mary (Bill) Rill, Joanne (Dick) Manns, and Robin Zerbst. She delighted in her role as the Grandmother of 4: Chris Rill (Gail Bryant), Jodi-Rill-Walton (Marcus), Hilary Manns-Gentry (Kevin), and Gwendy Manns-Lytle (John).
She is the adored Great Grandmother of 11: Lauren, Jacob, and Madeleine Rill, Abbi, Kayla, and Garrett Wiggins, Jordan and Rachel Salmi, Ryan Gentry, and Joel and Gabe Lytle.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Final visiting will take place on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Services at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church 30650 Six Mile Road Livonia, MI 48152. Pastor Dana Runestad will officiate.
Interment will take place privately at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia, where Ellen will be laid to rest beside her husband, Robert.
Memorials are suggested to the church. Please share a memory.
