Passed away peacefully on January 3, 2012 at the age of 100. A Livonia resident since 1957, she and her late husband, Elwood, built, opened and operated Manns-Ferguson Funeral Home in 1961. (Following many years in Detroit.) An active St. Paul's member since 1957, Edna loved to play bridge, read, and walk everyday-- and did so up until just a few years ago when her eyesight started to fail. Her beloved husband Elwood preceded her in death in 1999 at the age of 94, and daughter Sally, in 2008. She is the dear mother of devoted sons, Charles (Marjorie), and Dickson (Joanne), who continue the daily operations of the funeral home. Edna is the loving grandmother of Darrell, David, Beth (Rich), Carol (Bob), Hilary (Kevin), and Gwendy (John). She is also adored by 9 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5th, from 2 to 5 PM, and again from 6 until 8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 6th, at 11 A.M. at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church located at 27475 W. Five Mile (just west of Inkster,) in Livonia.
