Dorothy Roma Frescura Endress, age 93, of Livonia, passed away at home on Sunday, November 19, 2017, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held at Manns Family Funeral Home on Saturday, November 25 from 11AM to 2PM with the funeral service to be held at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an animal rescue of your choice. Dorothy was born in Detroit on January 14, 1924, the eldest daughter of the late Adam and Josephine Frescura. She grew up in Detroit and graduated from Cooley High School in 1942. There, she met her high-school sweetheart, George Endress, the love of her life, whom she married on December 5, 1942. Dorothy and George had two daughters, Carol Lynn, in December of 1946 and Debra Susan in July of 1957. They were married 63 years before his death in 2006. Dorothy is survived by daughter Debra Gannon and fiancé Kirk Lane, grandchildren Ryan Gannon, Erin Gannon, Lauren Gannon and husband Michael Rising, great-granddaughter Alexandria Rising, sister Joan Frescura and husband Tom Patterson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband George and daughter Carol Lynn, as well as siblings Adam and Betty Frescura and Richard and Karen Frescura. She was the epitome of strength and resilience through many misfortunes and health issues, radiating positivity and inspiring everyone around her. She was so proud of her daughter and grandchildren and grateful to be able to watch her family grow.
