Debra Rene Koslakiewicz

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra Rene Koslakiewicz (affectionately known as Debbie to her family and friends) on December 20, 2024, following a valiant battle with cancer. Born in Detroit, Michigan on September 28, 1953, to Walter and Julia Parisot, Debbie was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and love touched everyone she met.

Debbie’s life was rooted in her deep faith in Jesus Christ, and she found strength and peace in His promises. She believed wholeheartedly in heaven and the eternal joy that awaited her, a belief that gave comfort to her family and friends during her journey.

Debbie was the beloved wife of Mike, her devoted partner of 52 years, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and memories. Together, they raised two wonderful children, who in turn blessed them with four treasured grandchildren. Debbie’s role as a grandmother brought her immeasurable joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her family.

For 42 years, Debbie dedicated herself to her work in the medical records department at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI. Her commitment and generous/selfless nature earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

Debbie was adored by all who knew her. Her warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering compassion left an indelible mark on countless lives. She had a remarkable gift for putting others first, always offering her time, love, and support wherever it was needed.

In her free time, Debbie delighted in crocheting and knitting, creating beautiful handmade gifts that her loved ones will treasure forever. Her creativity and thoughtfulness were woven into every piece she made.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Mike; two children - Kevin (Danielle) and Lesa (Amit); four grandchildren - Emily (Jaron), Ryan, Kaitlyn, and Victoria; loving brother and sister - Rick (Karen) and Leslie (Tim), and countless friends and family who were blessed to know and love her. 

A visitation to reflect on Debbie’s extraordinary life will take place on December 28, 2024 from 12pm-5pm, with a funeral service at 3pm at Manns Family Funeral Home in Livonia, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Angela Hospice, honoring her legacy of selflessness.

Debbie’s life was a testament to the power of love and faith. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
