Danny William Burke

Daniel "Danny" Burke passed away October 13, 2022.

Dear husband of Elaine; beloved father of Paige Helen, TJ and the late Allen; brother of Patty Burke, John Burke, Pamela (John) Murray, Christine Streidl, Lexi Vanegas (Robert Vanderipe), Ricardo Vanegas, Gina Vanegas, Victoria Vanegas, and the late Michael Burke; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Burke and Sue Vanegas, grandparents, Helen and Allen Burke and Carl and Mona Schroeder.

Danny's family was his priority. His children meant more to him than life itself. He was a former city council member; for years, he worked as a police officer, that specialized in narcotics, in the state of Michigan. He truly took pride in whatever he set his mind to. He loved sports and was a football player in grade school and high school, a two-year letterman, captain, and all Catholic football player. He coached many football and baseball teams over the years. He became a hockey dad when TJ was just three years old. He devoted a lot of time on the road, being TJ's biggest supporter. He coached Paige's girls softball team and was so proud of her. Danny truly had a bigger than life personality. He will be missed by so many.

Visitation for Danny will be held Thursday, October 20th from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154.

Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
