CORLISS was 98 years of age when he died in the care of hospice. He was born in Detroit to the late Walter F. Gage and Ida French Robinson (Gage). Corliss enjoyed a long career with the Ford Motor Company, from which he retired. Committed to the welfare of those in need, Corliss was an active volunteer of World Medical Relief, in Detroit. He is the beloved husband of 63 years, of the late Eleanor Bangert Gage; and dear father of one daughter, Barbara Gage of Columbia, KY, and one son, the late David Gage. He is also survived by niece, Gail Gage Fournier of Lansing; sister in law Jeanne Gage of Troy, MI; cousins Margaret Smith of MI, Lloyd French of KY, Allen French of FL, and Edith Ellison of NV, one great niece and nephew. Leisure time found Corliss solving crossword puzzles, and drawing. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:00 am at Southfield Covenant Presbyterian Church, 21575 W. 10 Mile Road (E. of Lahser). A memorial luncheon will be held directly after the service in the fellowship hall.
