Christopher Jay Evans

Christopher Jay Evans of Redford, passed away June 20, 2019 at the age of 55.   He was born in Wayne, MI on March 17, 1964 to Laurice J. Evans and Rita A. Rutkowski. He graduated from Salem High School and continued his education at Schoolcraft College.   Chris was self-employed in the HVAC industry where he owned and operated S & J Affordable Heating and Cooling. He enjoyed historical military novels, antique guns and sharing his wealth of knowledge in anything connected to the history of our country. He was also actively involved in the NRA and Historical Railroad. He was a true patriot.   Chris is survived by girlfriend, Linda Powrozek; sons, Sean Evans and John Evans; granddaughter, Kyleigh Caruso; step-father, Johnny Stivers; step-father, Michael Bruns; sister Tracie (Michael) Lampe; niece, Shae Lampe; nephew, Nicholas Lampe.   He is preceded in death by his parents Laurice Evans in 1968 and Rita Rutkowski in 2015.     Visitation for Christopher will be held Monday, June 24th from 12:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 4:00 pm at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154.   Memorial donations in memory of Chris may be made to the family of Christopher Evans.
