Mr. Chris J. Bundoff of Livonia, MI, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the age of 84. Chris, short for Christian, was born to parents James and Catherine Bundoff on December 25, 1933 in Novi, Michigan. He grew up as the youngest of five and attended Walled Lake High School. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1957 and on a dinner date he ran into another couple, at which time he asked the young woman, who went by the name of Martha “Jeannie” Carroll, if he could call her for a date and she said yes. Chris married Martha J. Carroll on April 18, 1959, the couple had two children. Chris worked at Ford Livonia Transmission Plant as a painter for 43 years, he retired in January 1994. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling, wood working, watching the Tigers and Political News and especially spending time with family, pets and neighbors and helping anyone and everyone when he could. Like the time he picked up a hitchhiker who caught his load of hay (for scarecrows) on fire in the bed of his Ford F150… Chris is survived by wife Martha Jean; daughters Karen Jean Bundoff and Linda Kay Giencke- Bundoff; granddaughter Rachael Lynn Giencke; sister Rose Ann Sessions and 9-neices and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Catherine; his brothers George, Edward and James Bundoff, one niece and one nephew. The family is grateful for condolences; however, declines flowers and donations.
