Brian Patrick Collins, 65, of Hamburg Twp, Michigan, passed away on September 2nd, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband to Kimberly Collins for 33 years. Dear father to his four daughters, Emily Collins, Muriel Collins (James Newbold), Carly (Mike) Nowicki and Jolene (Travis) Hadd, and a proud grandpa to Marek Newbold, Nicholas Nowicki and Irene Nowicki. Brian was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on October 26, 1954 to William and Irene Collins. He graduated from Riverview High School in the class of 1972. Brian worked as a butcher for Hiller’s Market for 28 years and he loved helping his customers. He raised his family in Livonia until 2018 when he retired and moved to Hamburg Twp. Brian was a hard worker and dedicated to his family. He enjoyed collecting and listening to music, fishing, “rock hunting,” being in nature, tinkering in the garage and, most of all, playing with his grandkids. Brian was an avid animal lover and instilled this passion in his children and grandchildren. One of his best friends was his yellow lab, Lily. Brian is survived by his siblings Dennis (Francelle), Terrance (Linda), and Patricia (Eugene); his parent-in-laws Raymond and Dolores Wiederhold; sister-in-laws Barbara Collins, Cynthia Begarowicz, Lori (Tom) Perri, Tamara (David) Kelly; nieces and nephews, Kelli Collins, Christopher (Laura) Collins, William (Nancy) Collins, Brian (Lisa) Collins, Lisa (Vic) Mroz, Eric (Jennifer) Hamilton, Sara Collins, Sean Collins, Shawn (Jamie) Begarowicz, Joshua (Amy) Begarowicz, Megan (Robert) Niles, Melissa Begarowicz, Kevin Perri (Tiffany Wright), Keith Perri, Amanda Perri, Alicia (Jeremy) Johnson, Leeann (Jaren) Kuchta, and other family and friends. Brian is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Michael Collins. The Visitation and Memorial will be held on September 19th from 2:00pm – 5:00pm, with a Time of Remembrance for family and friends to share memories or music at 4:00pm at Manns Family Funeral Home (17000 Middlebelt Rd, Livonia). Please note, family requests everyone attending visitation and/or Time of Sharing wear a mask. Memorial donations in memory of Brian may be made to the family or the Michigan Humane Society.
