Betty June Tripp passed away April 27, 2017 at the age of 90. She was born in Highland Park, MI to Walter and Montana Simpson on June 27, 1926. Betty married Robert “Bob” Tripp on April 27, 1946 and they were married 71 years to the day. Betty was a school secretary for Livonia Public Schools and enjoyed researching genealogy, reading and writing about the Pioneers and the Western Movement, the morning crossword puzzles, shopping with friends and lunches of Maurice Salad and hot fudge ice cream puffs. She was also actively involved in many organizations including the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Rosedale Garden Presbyterian Church and past member and Deacon of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, the Livonia Arts and Letters, and a member of the church circle and prayer group. Betty was a kind and thoughtful person who loved being social. Her many friends were the light of her life and she adored her family beyond words. She went through a lot of medical issues in the past years and always kept a positive attitude and her sense of humor. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family and the wealth of people who knew her as a true friend. Betty is the beloved wife of Robert “Bob”; dear mother of Kathleen “Kathy” (Rick); grandmother of Rick and the late Rob; sister of the late Dorothy and Ray. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 12 Noon - 5:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia, 48154. Betty will be In-State with final visiting on Monday, May 1, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church, 9601 Hubbard, Livonia, 48150.
