BEN was 93 years of age at the time of his death, at home, surrounded by his devoted family. He is the beloved husband of Lillian; and dear father of Linda (Bill) Gillmore, Donald, Barbara (Jon) Lewis, and Tina VanCleave. Ben is the adored grandfather of Ryan, Keri, B.J., Christopher, Christina, Shayna, Brent, Matt, John, and Danny; and is also survived by 2 great grandchildren: Connor and Ellie. Ben joined the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he served honorably for four years as Chief Storekeeper, (T) rank, on the USS Denebola. Full Military Honors will follow the Memorial Service which will take place on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11 AM at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in Livonia. The church address is 30900 West 6 Mile Road.
