Barbara Rita "Cotter" Jeffrey

January 17, 1928 — July 15, 2018

Mrs. Barbara (nee. Cotter) Jeffrey, was born on January 17, 1928 in Emmett, Michigan and passed away at age 90 on July 15, 2018 in Livonia, Michigan. Barbara was married to the late Gordon Jeffrey. She is survived by her sons, Kevin (Peggy) Jeffrey, Michael (Suzanne) Jeffrey, John Jeffrey, Jay Jeffrey and daughter Susan (Stanley) Dobson; sister, Shirley Reinhart; and grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Mariah, Shelby, Nicole, and Chadwick. She also leaves behind her dog, Dexter. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Gordon and son Craig Jeffrey (deceased 1989). Barbara was an avid reader, devout catholic, amazing cook and her joys in life were her 6 grandchildren. She left us with many special memories, some too exciting to share. A special thanks to her incredibly gracious Dr. Prasad Mikkilineni and the staff at St. Mary's hospital for their excellent care. Although our hearts are broken we are comforted knowing our mother is finally free of her pain and suffering. She will be greatly missed. Visiting for Barbara will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 1:00 – 8:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154. Interment will be held back home at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Emmett, MI, next to her mother and father, Anna and Patrick Cotter.
