Anne Marie Belknap, 89, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024 in Livonia, Michigan. She was born in Windsor, Ontario on March 2, 1935 to Catherine and Joseph Tondreau and grew up in Detroit. She had five brothers, Joe, Al, Ken, Leo and John and a sister, Gail. Anne loved her brothers and sister dearly.
She also had two daughters, Madge "Midge" and Debby; four grandchildren, Madge, Crystal, Kiera and Liam, and one great-grandchild, David.
Anne will be remembered for her great smile and hugs. She enjoyed being with her family and never wanted to miss a party or get together. She was fun to be around and loved playing cards, games, and the slot machines and golfing, dancing, sing-alongs and boating. She was a Commodore of the Sand Point Yacht Club, a volunteer with Southfield Civil Defense and had her ham radio license. She will be truly missed.
She is survived by her brother Al and his wife Mary Ann, sister-in-law Carol (Ken’s wife), brother Leo, and sister Gail, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild and many, many extended family members. She recently lost her dear sister-in-law, Esther (Joe’s wife).
A Celebration of Life party will be held at Leo’s on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 1:00pm.
