Angel Luis Gonzalez

Angel Gonzalez passed away on April 8, 2025. He was born on March 8, 1957 in Chicago.

Angel met his match, Diane, in 1992, and married in 1996. They have 4 children, 1 grandchild, and grand fur-babies.

Angel was a man who believed in hard work, and after 32 years, retired from General Motors. Family meant everything to him, and he was happiest when surrounded by them. When he loved you, it was the fiercest love, and you felt it. He was a collector of books, movies, art, eagles, wolves, history, music, t-shirts, and dragons. He loved Detroit sports and Michigan football so much he got banned from watching the games, as he would yell too much. He loved animals and would often want to rescue them all, and would try. He also took great pride in his yard and garden, often spending an entire weekend outside making sure it looked good.

Angel was a good conversationalist. You could often walk into a room and find him talking to a friend, neighbor, his doctors, or stranger. As long as there was some common ground, he had you hooked. He had a big personality and a great smile, both things could win people over quickly.

Angel is survived by his wife, Diane; his children, Rebecca (Daniel), Justin a.k.a. "JB", Tracie, and Justin; grandchild, Lilyana; his sisters, Maria (Daryl) and Linda (Jeff); many cousins, nieces and nephews.
