Albert Joseph Vadnais, Jr. (lovingly known as “Al”), age 74, of Redford, Michigan, passed away suddenly on December 23, 2019. Al was born in Houghton, Michigan on August 9, 1945 to Albert and Helen Vadnais. His family later moved to Livonia and in 1964 Al graduated from Bentley High School. On March 28, 2009, Al married Christine Kelly (“Chris”) and they were together until the time of his death. Al worked in the pool industry including operating his own pool installation business for many years. Much of his life was centered around music and he was an accomplished drummer. He enjoyed going out to play music or watching his friends perform. Al spent much of his free time woodworking where he created many custom pieces for family and friends. He also loved to travel with Chris to Las Vegas and other sunny destinations. Al is survived by his wife, Christine Vadnais; his children Michele (Joe) Gross, Joseph (Wendy) Vadnais, Beth (Michael) Kobylasz, and Susan (Donald) Rybicki; his mother, Helen Vadnais; his siblings, Ken Vadnais and Patricia (Joe) Goudeseune; his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Al is preceded in death by his father, Albert Vadnais, Sr., and his stepson, John Pelarski. Visitation for Albert will be held Monday, December 30 from 11:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Manns Family Funeral Home, 17000 Middlebelt, Livonia 48154.
